The global travel technology and marketing conference, WiT Seoul 2024, co-hosted by travel tech company

TIDESQUARE and WiT, will be held at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul Hotel on November 26-27.

Since its inception in 2016, ‘WiT Seoul’ has brought together influential industry leaders and experts worldwide

to discuss global travel industry trends and engage in meaningful discussions. This year, more than 50 leading

travel companies—including Korean Air, MyRealTrip, Agoda, Hanatour, AWS, Klook, Phocuswright, and Cirium—

have confirmed their participation, generating high expectations for the event. Under the theme of ‘NEXT

GENERATION,’ the conference will feature various sessions and panel discussions centered on generational shifts in travel distribution, marketing, and technology, while also highlighting emerging leaders and new content in the industry.

November 26: 2024 K-Travel Tech Summit

Day one will see the return of the ‘K-Travel Tech Summit,’ jointly organized by WiT Seoul, Ministry of Culture,

Sports and Tourism, and Korea Tourism Organization to support domestic travel tech startups' growth and global expansion. This year’s summit will feature presentations from companies like Orange Square, Creatrip, and Lala

Station which have grown into global companies through the Korea Tourism Organization's tourism support

programme. These sessions are expected to provide valuable insights for startups aiming to expand

internationally. Moreover, the program will include diverse sessions on travel technology, starting from an entrepreneurship

story from the CEO of Section L - a Tokyo-based apartment accommodation brand, to a presentation from

travel industry research firm Phocuswright on global travel startup trends.

Building on the favorable response from last year, the startup pitch stage with global investors will expand from

five to ten teams. After the pitch presentations, two standout teams will be selected on-site for further support

in their international expansion efforts, setting the stage for the competitive atmosphere among the participating startups.

In addition, there will be a unique session by designer RIEUL, who was recognized in 2023’s Forbes 30 under

30 and gained attention for designing the hanbok suits worn by BTS.

November 27: NEXT GENERATION Main Stage

Day 2 will feature a series of sessions on travel-related sectors including flights, hotels, tours and activities,

online travel agencies, and marketing.

In the airline sector WiT founder Yeoh Siew Hoon will facilitate insightful discussions with leaders from Delta Air Lines, Scoot, and Expedia Group in the 'Airlines in Transition' session, while in the hospitality sector, Timothy-

Hughes, Vice President of Corporate Development at Agoda, will lead the 'Transforming Hospitality' session alongside leaders from Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, Airbnb, Rakkojae, and Hotel Lotte.

For a particularly in-depth dialogue, the Coffee Chat session will feature in-depth discussions with distinguished Korean travel industry leaders, including Kee Hong Woo, President of Korean Air, and Mi Sun Song, CEO of Hana-Tour.

In addition, discussions on next-generation social media platforms will feature leaders from TikTok, X

(formerly known as Twitter), and Tripbtoz, while prominent travel companies such as MyRealTrip, Klook, Very-

Good Tour, Trip.com, and Booking.com will participate in a variety of engaging sessions led by industry experts.

A cocktail reception will follow each day's conference, providing attendees with informal networking, information sharing, and relationship-building opportunities.

Tickets for the conference can be purchased online until November 25. For more details, please visit the official ‘WiT Seoul 2024’ website at https://www.witevents.com/witseoul.
